Please, Don't Take Any House Points Off!

Hi Everyone!

I joined a few days ago, but just now had the time to introduce myself. Hope no points will be taken from Gryffindor due to my tardiness. ;)

My name is Jill and I tend to be a prolific blogger at Stix on the Beach: Tales From The Happy Hooker!

I am ecstatic about Order of the Phoenix being on the big screen - 'cause it's my favorite HP book!

So far, my favorite film from the series has been Askaban, followed by Goblet, Chamber and Sorcerer's.

As for my HP Knit-Along project - I am still contemplating options. I'm keen on the idea of knitting a pair of Gryffindor knee-high socks a la Pippi Longstocking.

I look forward to knittin', readin' and chattin' with all of you! :)

Hi, Jill!

I'm still trying to decide what to knit for the second half of the KAL, too.

If you go back a bit in this blog, there are instructions for pygmy puffs, and I think I'm going to have to try that out. I think I'd like to change the pattern a bit though.

My other thought is S.P.E.W. Hats. I'd want to make them with house elf ears, though.

You sound pretty decided about what you want to do, already.

I read a bit of your blog. It's fun. I bookmarked it right away.

You're one of the first people I've met in the general population that also says the kind of things that make most people stare at me as though they're humoring a crazy person.

I, too, have said I couldn't do something because I was going to a premier. But I got asked "A premier of WHAT?"

I, too, have had BIG racoons in my backyard (and some small ones in the house). I didn't call the Sheriff about it, though.

This KAL could be even more fun!

Welcome!

Awwww, this brought tears to my eyes! A kindred spirit - or at least a padded cell mate! ;-)

Thank you for taking the time to peek at my blog. I used to get a lot of "I wasn't too sure what sort of blog I stumbled upon...then I got it!"

Ooooh, I am going to check out the patterns you mentioned. I've decided to deal with my UFOs (and not just the ones I see flying over Newport Beach...) and finish up two different socks - therefore, I may want to do something different than the Gryffindor stockings.

Thanks for the welcome! :)
